His Great Love For Us
When He was born on the earth as a man He had a purpose that no other man has ever had or will ever have. He came to save mankind from the curse of sin. His life was full of the power and promise of the Father – that He would send a Redeemer upon this earth to deliver mankind. The purpose of Christ has the dynamics of all of God’s heart and the principle of all His plans. Jesus, the Lamb of God, proclaimed that He had come to save the world, not condemn it…John 3:16-17… He routed out the religiosity of the day and brought in the relationship of the Holy Spirit. His presence amongst men changed them and revealed to them the pleasure of the Father’s heart, which is even now, to bring mankind unto Him. The action of the sacrifice was not just an ordinary altar sacrifice, this was the one true, once and for all sacrifice that was to redeem the world from the depth of sin and depredation. We still witness the patience of God even as we dredge through difficulties and pangs of this world. He patiently waits for us to come before Him with a sorrowful heart and an attitude of humility. His hands are reaching to us and He is stating… ”Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (Isaiah 55:1 ESV) The price has been paid – the debt has been eradicated. His mercies (the shed Blood of Christ) have and will always rewrite the heart of man. His ear is open to us and His plan is still the same: if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14 ESV) There is no other offering to be made, it is accomplished …He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Hebrews 1:3 ESV) The offering we can give to Him is ourselves and the sacrifice we can now have is that of our lips giving praise to Him continually, Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. (Hebrews 13:15 ESV) Give Him praise for what He has completed for you!
