Committed To His Example

When we begin to be built there must be a point to lay hold of or draw a line from.  When Jesus mentioned in the Book of Luke about the young man who wanted to follow Him he spoke this. – No that puts his hand to plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of Heaven.  Just before he could begin he wanted to go and say farewell to his family.  When we begin to look for approval from those that He is calling out from it is difficult to line up to the One who is calling us out from.  When a builder or even a fine craftsmen begins to create an item such as a fine chair or even a mansion there must be the first board or even the first cut in the wood.  This first cut or board must be straight because everything else will line up to it or the design will begin with the first mark.  As we began our walk with Christ and we became new creatures in Him we had to line up to the Chief Cornerstone who is Christ.  Even though men rejected Him God chose him.  He is perfect and true.  His Name is highly exalted above every name.  He is the Good Shepherd and the Master of who w are.  In 1 Peter 2:9 the Word of God expresses to us just who we are how He has created us.  Not only that we are to express back to Him are praise for all that He has accomplished through Christ His Son and Our Savior. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9 ESV). We are very special in the eyes of our God because we are aligned to the Cornerstone.  A building that is built and dose not line up with the cornerstone will be a crooked building in need of many repairs.  But one that lines up to the Cornerstone will be a building that stands straight and tall and able to weather the elements and the sands of time.  It is good to praise the Lord and it is good to move from darkness into His marvelous light.  Have you or are you aligned with the Chief Cornerstone in your heart?  Have you noticed lately the walk and the talk that is part of your character?  You are royalty and you are His chosen!
