When the Lord returns, will He find faith on this earth? Will you be active and busy doing the Lord’s work? What a day we live in! There is more going on around us than ever before. Everything is electronic and made to be used for the convenience of man. When we look at our lives and the activities we do each week one may stop and ask – What have I done this week to employ the Lord through faith? Have I trusted in Him during my experiences this week? Truly, we are living in a faithless time. The testimony of so many today is this ‘If I see it then I will believe it.’ Well the Word of the Lord is the ruling factor in our lives and His Word declares that we should live by faith in Christ. If you ever want to accomplish anything at all in the Kingdom of God you must be faithful to the principles of the kingdom. Recently, I began to realize that one of the ’signs’ of the times is a ‘faithless’ generation. We read and talk about wars, pestilence’s, horrific weather conditions and now a failing economy! Everyone is so concerned about the visuals and the appearance of evil on this earth that they have not considered one important factor – FAITH! Faith still works. The Lord has not forgotten His promises and His Word is still seeking and placing truth in the hearts of those that will believe. So much time and effort is being done to prepare for the worse when the church should be preparing for the best! The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus asks an incredible question in the Gospel of Luke. Luke 18:8 …However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” He asked this question about the matter of prayer. He placed this before His disciples to encourage them to continue in prayer. He was not questioning whether believers would be around when He returned but would they be praying and maturing through prayer. Prayer causes faith to be activated in the believers’ heart and soul. No matter what goes on we must pray and continue in it. Prayer encourages the heart and brings results from a holy God. Be encouraged to pray and never stop. The Lord will answer you in the season of your harvest. Keep seeking, knocking and asking no matter what! Is there faith in your heart to pray to the Living God who desires to ‘give’ unto the requests of words that have been bathed in praise? Will He find you praying and full of faith?
