This is a free nation under God.  We are able to worship and praise Him in the freedom of our faith.  Thank God for America, one nation under God.  The Word of the Lord declares… Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Cor. 3:17 We should realize that are right is to worship God any place and at anytime.  There have been great wars fought over freedom and the right to worship God.  This nation has been in turmoil recently about the war in Iraq and now Afghanistan and just what to do when this economy bottoms out.  When a people are in peace and their land is at peace one would realize that there is no reason to fear.  When the Lord spoke in 2 Chronicles he promised that He would heal the land if…His people would pray… and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chron. 7:14 The points that should be noted is that the Lord is making a promise to His own people.  Also He is offering a decree to a problem that had caused the land to be barren because of a lack of rain, which was brought about by rebellion to the commands of God.  Freedom does not come easy.  There must be a turning from bondage to freedom.  Repentance is another very important point to be noticed in this dynamic promise made by God to His people.  The word for repentance in the Greek means to have a reversal of direction and thought.  What the Lord is stating is this:  Turn from your wicked ways, humble yourself (turn from arrogance) and look to heaven and God will hear and respond.  The Lord wants to give freedom to His people.  If people, that are called by His name, would just pray, spend time with Him, He would heal them and their land.  He would give freedom from drought, from locusts and from plagues.  That’s right, freedom from dry religion, freedom from decay and demonic attack also freedom from sickness and decease.  To anyone that is of spiritual nature they would know that this is really “fair” trade.  If you will pray, then I will bless you with freedom.  If you will seek my face I will bless you with my healing love.  If you will humble yourself I will respond from heaven and I will bless your land.  The Lord will exalt the humble and He will cause your dryness to be saturated with the rain of His Holy Sprit.  Call upon Him and He will answer… ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. . Jeremiah 29:12 We are free in Him and let us remain free in our nation and our hearts… It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm … Galatians 5:1
