We are in a fascinating mix of the old!  This day was spoken by the Prophet Joel: Joel 2:28-32  “And it will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. [29] “And even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. [30] “And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke. [31] “The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. [32] “And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the Lord has said, Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls. [NASB] A great day of prayer and fasting is upon us! Also in Joel in the same chapter the prophet spoke and penned these words: Joel 2:16-17 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room And the bride out of her bridal chamber. [17] Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, Weep between the porch and the altar, And let them say, “Spare Thy people, O Lord, And do not make Thine inheritance a reproach, A byword among the nations. Why should they among the peoples say, ‘Where is their God?’ ” [NASB]. This is a time of great effusion of the Holy Spirit upon mankind.  The Lord is speaking to His people and we are to pay attention to Him – not act like He is not there.  We are to be fire not ice!  This is a day of great deliverance and progress.  The age of the Church is now mature enough to receive Him in His Glory.  To embrace His Majesty and move in His power.  To go forth and produce – not to be idle and frozen!  Hey, we are chosen not frozen!  Call upon Him or be called to Him.  Be called from the earthly to the heavenly, from the carnal to the spiritual, from death to life! From the crevice to the Christ! Be a vessel to receive the fire of the Holy Ghost. Be called a river not a reservoir. Be a magnet don’t be stagnant!  Be a mountain not a valley.  Open up you heart to the Lord today!
