Spiritual Turmoil
Praying is not a just for the sake of communicating with God, it is a combative worship that takes dedication. I have spoken many times of the subject of prayer throughout the course of my Christianity. The immense stability of each individual to be committed to a place of prayer and a purpose is deeply necessary. The often mistaken concept of prayer is that it is “pigeon holed” or in a “corral” of planned and simple worship! That is not true, but it is a segment of the large purpose of prayer. Prayer is a force not to be reckoned with: If you are adverse to the effect prayer has on heart of God. He desires that men pray everywhere (1 Timothy 2:8). He desires the people pray incessantly (1 Thess. 5:17). To further your relationship in the nurturing of purpose and plan, one must communicate with the Father, so direction and spiritual imprinting can take place in the heart of the person praying. What is spiritual imprinting? It simply, the reflection of God’s presence in the believers heart as they live out thier Christianity in a lost world. One could say it would be like the “glow” that shown from Moses face when he returned form forty days of prayer and fasting (Exodus 34:29). The uniqueness of this “imprint” is not that it will fade away but will mature as one prays daily. The subject of Prayer can take you on a journey that will lead you into the Throne of Grace!
There are some delicate points that need to be addressed when learning to pray and have the “stay-bility” to pray. One of the most important is that as you pray never forget the reason you are praying. Secondly, it is of vast importance to listen when you pray, not just be in a “one sided” conversation: you are the one speaking! Listen for the voice of the Lord! The Father loves to speak to His children! Thirdly, spiritual turmoil may arise in your day and even in the depths of your mind because of prayer. The reason for this is that prayer will always be combative because the enemy, which will try to diminish your act of prayer, knows that prayer will defeat him. Learning to pray does not come from a classroom activity or a booklet bought in a Bible book store, it comes from daily commitment to pray! The Lord, Jesus Christ, taught His disciples to pray through example and also by making the statement: When you pray say… (Luke 11:2) which engulfs the purity of prayer.
Spiritual turmoil has its roots in the warfare that happens when one prays. Just as the prayer in Daniel….(Daniel 10:13) explains. There is always a war that happens between your prayers an the answer. The “Prince of Darkness” does not want you to be blessed or healed. As long as he can detain the answer it will cause doubting and fear to manipulate the faith level of your initial request. It takes time , our time, often to receive from the Lord the answer to the important supplication that has been made. The warfare between your alter and God’s Throne is not to be thought of lightly and thrown aside like a passing thought. The resistance that we sense when we pray is just a glimpse of really happens in the heavens. The resistance causes “distance” in prayer when really prayer is just a breathe before God requesting His presence in our everyday circumstances.
There will be further writings on this subject soon… If there is “spiritual turmoil” going on in your life don’t just sense that you are wrong or subjected to rejection! There could easily be a warfare going on as the answer for you is being resisted in the heavens!
