The Not Distant Truth

Often people look for truth in the most awkward and wayward places. The truth that they seek cannot be found in a area where it is not a reputable resource area for truth. The inner being of mankind searches for what it once knew… The goodness and kindness of God. It actually has a hunger to be fed the truth… That is why sin is so disenchanting disgraceful to the human soul. It masks the hunger for truth by blurring and manipulating lies to resemble truth. Once anyone finds real truth they realize in an instant the depth of life they were leading was quite shallow and with no hope. Jesus when addressing His disciples made this statement: “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 ESV) The truth is not far from anyone it is just that the enemy of our soul, the god of this world, works very diligently to keep people from the truth. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4 ESV) Those that uphold the truth and share that knowledge, with conviction, persuading all to hear about the freedom offered through Christ!

Having truth and knowing the truth is separate from living the truth that you know! So many stories today and from the past about what is truth and what is manipulated by men. If you are not careful and stop praying and studying the Word you can be easily swayed to believe a truth mixed with unparalleled murkiness and lies. As Paul traveled around the then known world he would have to bring “real” truth backed up with the miraculous. He would have to know the text of  the writing of those days to persuade men and women, leaders and magistrates, on just who Jesus is. He, Jesus, stated: I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. (John 14:1 ESV)

Let the truth be told and let no one believe that the truth is distant. It is near and knowing it brings freedom that cannot be found anywhere else. Certainly in the past one would go to the local church and hope to find truth… but many churches have lost the truth today! The message does not glorify God but glorifies men! This obscures the the nearness of  truth and makes it almost a mirage of distance that cannot be reached. He, Jesus is a close as the mention of His name… He is Lord God Almighty and the Prince of Peace. God is seeking those across this earth that are speaking His truth and are willing to do so… For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. (2 Chronicles 16:9 ESV)

For to long now too many have spoken the lies of the god of this world and manipulated the “hungry” and “eager” with twisted words that sound truthful but have no foundation. Let this be the testimony of God’s people who beleive… for my mouth will utter truth;wickedness is an abomination to my lips. (Proverbs 8:7 ESV) Know Him and be free!

Remember prayer moves the Hand of God.
