Positioned Strategically

Living in the Kingdom of God spiritually takes being able to understand strategic positioning. God has each one of His children positioned so He can bless them. Yes, there are some who get out of position by making choices without waiting on God or praying. David was out of position when he went out on the porch and viewed with a heart of sin Bathsheba bathing. It not the place he was standing it was the heart that moved out of position spiritually. Living outside the positioning of God opens up doors of temptation and opportunities for the heart to choose the sin instead of the holiness. The first and foremost position to be in is that of prayer and obedience. Listening to the voice of the Lord and committing to follow His commands. When Adams and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden they were at the right place but they fell out of position spiritually through disobedience to God’s command. They listened to the wrong voice!

When Ruth followed after Naomi she refused to go to her own land! (Ruth 1:16) She did not want to leave the spiritual position that God had provided for her. She was in place in the fields gleaning and she met Boaz. This meeting and relationship kept the lineage of Christ. If the lineage would have broken then the prophetic utterances of the Savior would have fallen short and never come to pass.  This is how important spiritual positioning is in the Kingdom of God. There are great illustrations through the history of mankind where spiritual positioning ventured to be the key for a miracle. The greatest of these is Jesus being positioned spiritually here on this earth that salvation would come to all that repented and called upon God, through Christ! (Hebrews 7:25) The Lord places us in a position so He can best bless and employ us for His Kingdom’s sake. The story of the little boy with the loaves and fishes is a awesome instance of spiritual positioning. The boy had no idea that the lunch of just a little food would be used to feeds thousands of people. (John 6:9) Nonetheless, he was able to take some home with him. The disciples thought there was not enough but God knew who and what was in place! Spiritual positioning will always bring enough cause and effect that people will be blessed. The Lord will always place you in the right place at the right time spiritually. Listen for His voice and pray for the discernment of the Spirit of God to be active in your heart.

This type of spiritual positioning God has promised to all of us. He will be where you are because He has placed you there. Many have vacated their spiritual position because of desire to be something more than what God had planned for their destiny. Some have vacated their position in a church to go elsewhere seeking more prestige and luster. Some have left their position of prayer for matters of more importance to them. Nothing is more important than being spiritually positioned in prayer. The enemy will do all he can to displace you spiritually, so stay in prayer and listen. When Jesus looked over the crowds of people he was moved with compassion because he saw them out of position. (Matthew 9:36) The backslider is out of position with God and he is most miserable in spirit and in heart. For once knowing your spiritual position and moving away from it can deeply wound the spirit of man. (Luke 13:34)

The question that exceeds the thoughts of all hearts is this: Will He find faith on earth? (Luke 18:8) Will his children, the sanctified of the Lord, be in a position of faith to accept Him? Being in spiritual positioning means being ready for Him to call on you! He will spiritually position you at work, in the local church, in politics, in a home, in an interview, in the place where God can have His purpose revealed for His glory. Prayer will keep you spiritually positioned if you obey Him and listen.
