Childish Faith
The faith of a child draws the attention of the Father because of its purity and innocence. (Luke 18:17) The innocence found in a child is surrounded by belief that God can do it all, anytime, anywhere to anyone. As a person becomes an adult or a adolescent the faith gets tarnished with doubts a reasoning. Reasoning does not fit in the same concepts of faith. Even when God spoke to Isaiah about reasoning together it was on the grounds of the supernatural thoughts of God. (Isaiah 1:18; Isaiah 55:8-9) Which are much higher that mankind’s especially after the fall of Adam and Eve. Reacting to God’s mercy and His grace is shown by the action of faith. Faith is described as believing what is a substance and a conviction which is sustained through hope. A relationship with God is based on trust, hope, love and faith all of which is drenched in the abundance of His grace toward mankind. How marvelous it is to no that whatever we pray for in Jesus’ Name the Father will do it! (John 16:23) Prayer embraces faith wholly with a steadfastness and a surety that will not let go till God blesses. (Luke 11:6-8; Genesis 32:24-26)
The attitude of the child is not only faithful but trusting in such a way that no matter what seems to be the difficulty, the child knows that God can handle it! Maturing in the Lord Jesus and coming into the fullness of stature in His Faith assumes having the a childlike faith in His promises. Staying in prayer consistently battling doubt and the fears that life presents daily, will bring a depth of maturity, along with the purity of faith. Faith simply believes and a child simply rests in the Father’s words. Having faith does not create “magic” or presupposed results what it does is draw of the faith that God has created in the heart and measured it out to you!
What gets in the way of the miraculous is not the battle for victory but the disbelieving of the heart toward the promises of God. Never give up trusting in what God has promised. No matter what it may be the apparent appearance of the situation. For walking with God takes faith not physical sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Walking in the same faith as Abraham and Moses who simply made it a daily practice in their life to be surprised by God’s interventions into mankind’s future. When asking the Lord for a blessing or for the substance needed to be sustained, do not be sheepish or timid in your approach but enter boldly into the presence of God and see just He will do! When Peter was incarcerated the people, friends and other disciples prayed for His release. When he was miraculously delivered from the jail and showed up at the payer meeting they were so excited that they did not let him in at first it… (Acts 12:7-14) Always believe when God does the impossible! That is what faith brings, the impossible into the possible by God’s calling it forth as it is, even though it was not! (Romans 4:17)
All this takes the childish faith to watch God do what you have asked of Him. He releases His saving grace when you come to Him in faith knowing that He will receive you into His Kingdom. After the initial entrance bring that simple faith along the journey with you and witness His willingness to meet you at every concern and request as you trust in Him.
