The Road of Hope
What road is the right road? The road of destruction or the road of hope? The world is often on a path of destruction. Looking to compete against each other through threats of war and overwhelming poverty sweeping the earth. This is not a “new thing” that we witness in this modern day we live! Throughout the history of the world there has been wars and overwhelming poverty through famine and slavery. The absolute truth in the matter of life is to choose the Road of Hope. This journey that we are all on has trials and valleys that coordinate with the times of success and great moments of comfort.
Jesus walked this Road of Hope as He continued toward Jerusalem embracing hope along the way. His hope was in Calvary’s sufficiency to reveal man’s sin and how it can be forgiven. Knowing that His humanity was who He was, God-man, yet very much God, He hoped. As we travel down the road toward eternity our hope must be intact and embraced. Gripping the very fact that Jesus has completed the work He came to do (John 19:30) and is now interceding for all. He is able to save all those that come to God through Him. He Looked beyond the Cross to the joy that was set before Him. (Hebrews 12:1-3) We are that joy and our sojourning is through this lifetime is paved with the many clouds of witnesses that have entered into the precious hope of eternity.
The Lord said the road is narrow and so is the gate. (Matthew 7:13-14) Destruction and pain, both physically and emotionally has never been God’s plan for man. His plan has been to bring His children into fellowship of His Spirit. That all would live and walk a spiritual life, abiding in the Word as the Word abides in them. Keeping a communication open for a hopeful daily communion with each person of His Kingdom. The meaning of hope is to have a faithful expectancy of what has been promised! God’s unfailing promises to His children will always secure the distance of the journey and bring safety on the road of life. The choice is always left up to each individual. Choosing The right road takes faith and only one road leads to the Father. Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the light (John 14:6) will bring peace to your spirit at all times. (John 14:27) Keeping a strong hope in a faithful promise will set the platform for the entrance of blessings in your life.
Choosing to walk on this road called “Hope” is the greatest choice that one can ever make. Choosing to walk on a road that will bring destruction is senseless and shameful. Lift up your heart unto Him and be strong in your faith toward life and purpose. Your destiny is down the “Road of Hope” not turning from God. Hope sees what will be, not what may be…
But I will hope continually,And will praise You yet more and more. (Psalm 71:14 NKJV)
