Continuing To Live
Taking a deep breathe in a cold morning in the mid-west, preferably, Cleveland, taking a walk on the shoreline of Lake Erie, thinking if this air gets any colder how can I breath. Your lungs fill with the cold air and your wrap up closer to the winter coat you have on. This kind of chill will let you know that you are alive. Life is a good gift and there are so many opportunities in it! Most importantly there are advantages that can really push you to live a life out loud and in person with the world. Knowing all this after living in may locations throughout the world and in America, I have come to the realization there is nothing to compare with life accept the life that God can offer you! The wonder of life cannot be a surprise to anyone. Those that look at life as a burden or just anther go around have lost the beauty of the essence of life itself. I learned to live when I learned to die!
Paul in his writings to the Galatians put it this way: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 ESV) I truly believe that he keyed off what he must have been instructed by the Holy Spirit! Let me put it this way Jesus said this to those that would hear Him with spiritual ears and see Him with spiritual eyes: For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. (Mark 8:35 ESV)
In all the world you cannot find this logic stored in the minds of men. Not exactly where it depends of the nature of God to bring life to you after you loose it in Him. Giving up your desires to gain the world and to be the most competitive and popular is what is being stated here. Gaining wealth and self gratification will not bring the comfort that your soul seeks! Learning to approach your destiny outside of yourself is what will happen when you give it up, yes your life up, to Him. Jesus will live through you and around you. He will live in you and make His Word alive in your heart! You have to loose the nature that you were born with and receive the nature of God, that is a gift to you!
The best is yet to come is the secret song of the heart when you give it up for Him! Being able to confess that you no longer are alive to yourself but now you are dead to the things that you once desired that you may gain what in most desired by a heart that runs after the things of God. You now live and walk on your path toward true destiny. You live and move and have your being in Him (Acts 17:28) Not only to we live for Him we live in Him! He is all around us keeping us and sustaining our hopes and dreams. We no longer live to the temporal sight filled things of this world we now live to the faith filled and invisible yet tangible things of His promised Word. Laying your life aside and following His is the only way to live! We are not the author of life not have we been first o give up our life and follow Him. He gve up His life for us that we would be able to have a life that is abundant in mercy, love, kindness and promise of a eternal heaven.
The day has arrived that you can just turn over your natural DNA for the fair trade of His spiritual DNA. To live is to die and to die is to live. Choose today to die that you may live by faith in the Son of God who gave Himself for you!
