Time is a funny issue in the lives of so many, actually all of us. It seems that we never have much time for everything that we would like to accomplish or not of enough start what we want. This could have a few reasons behind it. One, we often, like at Thanksgiving dinner, put to much on our plates. We stare at it when we are full and wish we could eat more. If we do, well, it is painful! Secondly, we prioritize wrong and start something that could have waited till another time. Something, like following our flesh instead of the Spirit. Come on now, you and I both know that when the call to prayer comes there is this inner-voice that states “In a minute let me finish this first.” The minute stretches out like the horizon and it never seems to end. Time, is a gift, and what we do with it measures our degree of humility.

The Word says, We should redeem the time given to us:

“Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. ” (Ephesians 5:16, AMP)

“Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. ” (Colossians 4:5, AMP)

It is like this, stack your plate and never finish, set your own horizons and never be led by God. As for me, I am going to humble myself and place my priorities (time) aside and He can lead me daily into what He wants of me.
