Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 ESV)

Faith lived is a life lived fully. There are plenty of people who live the “safe” life! That life is good and it can very well be comfortable. Nothing ventured nothing lost nor is there anything that is gained either. When faith is embraced there is a real change in the person who lives by faith. Trusting and forever hoping in the promises of God. Seeing the promise as it is actually physical or present in the nature of your speech. Know that whatever the Lord has stated in His Word it can be trusted and it will come to pass. Look at what Abraham had to endure and his wife Sarah. They both were very old and past the ability to bear children, yet, God promised them a child. Not only that but that child would put forth generations of children that would out number the stars. Even in the most trustful times God may test your faith to the level of impossible odds. Making the promise He gave you seem as though it is not what God stated in the first place. That is how Abraham must have felt as he took his son Isaac to Mount Moriah! He was to offer his promise, Isaac, to the Lord. Abraham never wavered. When Isaac ask where the sacrificial lamb was for the sacrifice Abraham answered that the Lord would provide. He had so much trust and hope in the Lord’s promise that even when God told him to offer Isaac to Him as a burnt offering (Genesis 22:2) he never stopped believing in what God had told him about Isaac. God did provide a lamb in the last moment when it seemed that Isaac was going to be slain and the promise of generations and lineage would be broken. That is where Abraham called the name of the place, characterizing the Lord: Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide.

Knowing this story places each one who desires to live by faith in a category of people that believe what they see is temporal but what they do not see and believe, eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18 ESV) For we walk by faith not by sight! (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV) Yes, challenges come and press against the “faith-walker” but the issue is that God’s promises are always sure and steadfast. He will always complete what He has promised into the heart of each believer. We need to have the eyes of faith and the heart of hope. So that when the doubters voice speaks and the negative words try to penetrate the “faith-walkers” ears, they will not get through. They are put aside as trash and garbage.

Faith declares what is true even though others may not see it or believe it! The Word is full of testimonies of people who simply just believed God at His Word. No matter how impossible it may seem, the faith spoken is the promise declared. Receive that Word into your heart and begin to move from your comfort zone into the zone of a “faith-walker”. Seeing the impossible become possible. God wants to give out “big” dreams to those who are willing to dream with faith. Peter walked on water for a moment but when he began to think if his frustrations, fears, failures, and faults he sank into the water. Never look at those things even if they are part of your past. Look into the promise and get out of your security and posses the opportunity that God is giving you today.  Faith believes what God promises and embraces the heart of trust and hopes with assurance.
