Making choices today in the world we live in can be crucial and advantageous all at once. Where to live, what to do, and how to get where you are going. These are just some of the major choices that are being made daily in the lives of people. To make such choices without thinking or proper counsel can cause difficulties in a major way. Simple decisions made without thought can add up to a crucial disappointment also. That is why having faith and trust in what you cannot see may be better than what you do see. Living by faith is the only really safe way to have security in your decisions. Bringing God into all that you do and say is much better than common sense lingo and approach to life. Life can really be easy if you just live safely in a bubble where nothing ever challenging happens. To be quite frank, many people live this way everyday. Never really experiencing life’s choices with some spice added into it. Being a person of faith does not count on the commons sense of the natural man but on the spiritual sense of the spiritual man. Having the knowledge to know that the vision for success and the courage to possess what you dream must first be birthed in the heart of faith.
The faith that can move mountains and move that Hand of God in your situations. This is true wisdom. Trusting in what you have dreamed can be done and knowing that God can bring it to pass in your life if you just believe. In the words of the Proverbs:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
Prayer draws you close to God and keeps you in the shadow of His wing. Conversing with God brings a maturity in your speech and also a depth to your decisions. Processing what God ask of you and also what you ask of God determines your measure of faith and heart felt trust in Him. Real wisdom is simply believing in God and having the knowledge that all things our possible. Truly believing past the confession stage to the action stage. Abrahan had wisdom in his steps as he walked toward Mount Moriah with His promise carrying the wood for the burnt offering. His promise was the offering, Isaac! Never wavering but trusting in all that God had promised. That is wisdom in the purest sense. In a real spiritual sense, Abraham knew that God wold provide. (Genesis 22)
Paul knew that he would not be left alone in the dungeon with Silas to die! He had the faith to know that his course was not over and the fight of faith must continue. What he did was use spiritual wisdom and he began to sing songs and praise God! Knowing that praise would bring deliverance from his present circumstance. To use spiritual sense in crucial situations and even in simple ones will bring you to make the right choice. When the Israelites were in trouble and needed water the dug pits to contain water when there was none around. The wisdom looked idiotic to the enemies and those who just would not believe but the water came! God filled the pits as He had promised. (2 Kings 3) When Noah was asked to build the Ark in the middle of an arid place where there was no water or pond, stream, lake or soon to be rain, he did it! God brought the flood as He had promised.
When there is a decision to be made be sure to incorporate God into it! A suffering Christ on an old wooden Cross did not look like it was wise but when He rose on the early Sunday morning, wisdom was certainly what god used to defeat sin and bring deliverance ot His creation. Always use spiritual sense and lean upon the Lord with all that you are and trust Him in every circumstance!
