Walking with God is quite an experience isn’t it? God has always surprised me in His way of making a day go by! He certainly has a sense of humor. When I think of Adam in the garden with God and walking with Him I often wonder what their conversations were like. I even ponder the relationship God had with Enoch. One day Enoch went right home with God. Imagine being able to walk that close to Him. Wait a minute we are walking that close. He is a high tower and the righteous find safety in Him. He is dwelling within us. We are the Temple of the Holy Ghost. The Lord is our “City of Refuge”! The place where we can find forgiveness and rest from the enemy’s wiles and fiery darts. Praise God t hat He is always there. The gate to the city in never closed to those who call to Him or enter in to dwell there. He guards us with goodness and mercy and establishes our going forth and our coming in. He surrounds us with His “Angel of the Lord” and ascribes to us His Word for direction in our lives. What a Mighty God we serve! Have you gone to your “City of Refuge” lately? He is there and will keep you and sustain you. He has promised. The benefits that He has given us are real and everlasting. We are saved, healed and made the righteousness of God through the “Blood of the Lamb.” Many are the promises of God for you and they are “Yeah” and “Amen” through us! The Word declares this: Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 ESV) Let us enter our “City of Refuge” to find out that He has been waiting all the time to bless you and help you. Run the race to the place that you are certain of your relationship with the Father of Lights. He is waiting on you. Often time when we come in to the “City” we want to say “it has been a long haul.” You are right it has been and He has been with you the whole way. He will never leave you nor forsake you. In the desert and on the mountain He is there. He is in the valley and He is in the cave…He is there all the time. Trust Him in all things! For the Lord is the King of Glory and He is the “City of Refuge.” Don’t run from Him – Run to Him! If my people…who are called by my name…will humble themselves and repent…if they will turn from their evil ways…then I will hear from heaven and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
