Prayer Meeting In San Francisco
Kathy and me were just part of a great prayer meeting in San Francisco. Awesome, so awesome was the presence of God and the prophetic prayers. God’s mercy endures forever.
James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Give Thanks to the LORD, for He Is Good
Psalm 106:1 Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD,for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
The power of the Lord was healing and He was manifesting Himself through the prayers and the faith of those praying. God has a great plan for San Francisco! For years we have prayed for a move of God in the Bay Area! We are so enthused and reinvigorated about this hope!
Help us and the rest of the world pray for San Francisco and revival, deliverance and healing.
Prayer moves the Hand of God

The Difference
What is the difference between the Church and the secular society that claims “an open Jesus”. That is, a “Jesus” that just understands the maters of life and will not ever be judging the soul as He has been “taught” by many to judge. Sort of a “marshmallow” savior that is so soft that one can just lean in and be comforted but never challenged to be like the “real” Christ of the Gospels. It really matters when you come into a relationship with God. He has brought every solution to every problem. The conduit for for this absolute “set free” attitude is Jesus’ purpose and placement in and on this earth. He came to set us free from the “stuff” that we are so readily to carry around. The solution to the incorrigible attitudes that we confront daily, from the morning mirror to the evening “wink”. These attitudes feed off the secular, carnal, adeptness that comes from being overburdened by a problem. Each human being takes the approach of independence from God as the problem or confrontational aspirations bring an effectual response from the inner-man. However, man is not created to last in such a battle when the Lord puts His mercy as a “weight” on the heart which controls the inner-man and the will. The immediate creative response which is uncovered by mercy is to place the solution as a oil upon a wound. Knowing this brings out the “attitude” of change and the tilling of the heart’s fallow ground to receive the “seeds” of the Word of God. The difference is simple, secular response to a holy God is a matter of time and strength compared to the “hunger” of a person’s heart that responds to the burden and weight of mercy.

His Mercy
Mercy is defined as: Compassion and in other words “ Mercy” is a form of love determined by the state or condition of its objects. Their state is one of suffering and need, while they may be unworthy or ill deserving. Mercy is at once the disposition of love respecting such, and the kindly ministry of love for their relief. One once said ‘that Mercy is a distinctive Bible word characterizing God as revealed to men.’ Another followed with words that were quite descriptive to humanity ‘compassion for the miserable.’ There is a wonderful scripture, as all scriptures are, which states: Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chron. 16:34 The word “Mercy” is well defined and is definitely needed in the world. As Christian believers we need to show mercy to those around us and also to those that are not of the community. Being an example of Christ and living, as a Christian is very gratifying and also rewarding when we show mercy and reach out to the hurting and lost. God has chosen us as His very own, and we have been called to represent him to others. What we need to understand is that mercy and truth meet together in Christ. Mercy is a Christian grace and so that brings to the lifestyle we live the promotion of compassion at all times. Shakespeare’s question, “How canst thou hope for mercy rendering none?” is fully warranted by our Lord’s teaching and by Scripture. Mercy is God’s attitude toward man and we are the vessels that God uses to promote this posture. The Lord is not without mercy ever, the Word states: But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, Ephes. 2:4 Thank God for His great love towards us. We receive mercy from God by the removing our sins and clothing us with the righteousness of Christ. He establishes us in “Kingdom” living and positions us in His Kingdom as “royalty” (1 Peter 2:9) When we walk humbly and push pride aside we receive mercy from the Lord also. He desires to show all mankind mercy and to pour upon them the blessings of His presence. The Lord showed mercy to all that came to Him. They would cry out to Him “Lord have mercy on us” (Luke 17:13) and He would do just that! He would heal them, He would forgive them and He would feed them. When anyone takes the time to seek the Lord they will find Him full of mercy and willing to listen and respond. As we bless others let mercy be part of the blessing and always remember to thank Him for His mercy toward you.

Grace Brings You Through
Grace is a true gift from God to a soul that is wounded by sin. The entrance way into the Kingdom is “grace” and that is all we need to complete the course. When Paul wrote the church in Ephesus he made this bold statement…For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Ephes. 2:8. This gift from God is eternal and it is unmerited on our part. He has shown us mercy and abundant love when we did not deserve it! Some would like to debate the fact of “grace” being merited. In a sense it is when you realize that you are the creation of God and He has declared you as a son and daughter by the Spirit of Adoption through repentance. Surely when you view your relationship with God on that platform then you can say it is merited but…how can one ever look into the heart of God and say I deserve “grace”…?
Jesus made a way for us by shedding His sinless blood so we could be reconciled back to the Father…justice prevailed by the sacrifice of Christ Himself! Paul was going through a tremendous battle and he pleaded with the Lord in much prayer and fasting and the Lord responded with these words…”My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” —and Paul responded with these words…Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Cor. 12:9.
Grace not only opens the door to the Kingdom it is a sufficiency for us to be able to finish the race with humility and the knowledge that without God we can do nothing…for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5. When trouble arises in your life and the spirit of complaining comes around remember that God’s “grace”, His gift to you, is sufficient for the moment and for eternity. The testimony that will proceed from your lips when “grace” is understood is this…I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philip. 4:13 Thank God daily for His “grace” in your life and remember to glory in your circumstances and never recoil against the pressures of life…His “grace” will see you through!

In Relation To Life
Life becomes so distant as defined in the natural, when death draws near. Spiritual relations, define life as a Christian, in such a way that the subject of “life” reaches deep into the heart of God. All of the Body of Christ should be spiritual and not carnal! To some degree (each different from the other) our lives wrestle with the “natural” man. Since my journey began here in Maryland, with Theda, my mother-in-law, I have found that my “natural” man is rearing up at me in a fashion of true “yuk”. That is my Greek word for “turmoil”! I have noticed that the Lord is allowing this in my life so I can grow and become what He desires for me! My hope is to obey Him in all processes. I am seeking to go deep into the heart of God.
O my God, my life is cast down upon me [and I find the burden more than I can bear]; therefore will I [earnestly] remember You from the land of the Jordan [River] and the [summits of Mount] Hermon, from the little mountain Mizar.
[Roaring] deep calls to [roaring] deep at the thunder of Your waterspouts; all Your breakers and Your rolling waves have gone over me.
Yet the Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, a prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:6-8 AMP)
What matters is just how spiritual we are on this earth to show others that God does care! He desires, deeply, as the darkness has not an exit, to embrace us with a spiritual life that worships Him!
A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.
God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). (John 4:23-24 AMP)
Now that is something to relate to His mercy and how it endures forever. I hope that I make sense in my own life, because I have a great responsibility to make sense for others!
Peace
Dennis

Walking Worthy
Through prayer and many nicks on my shins for failing God, I have come to the most important conclusion: I cannot walk worthy of my calling without His Holy Spirit leading me at all times. If I am going to live in the Spirit I must walk in the Spirit. If I am going to walk in the Spirit then I must live in the Spirit. I must surrender all that I am to Him and hope that He will have mercy on my prideful and unworthy soul. Coming into His presence in prayer knowing that I have failed Him in some way, always gives me the uneasy feeling of that I have been thinking above what I ought to think! I owe Him so much for what He has done for me! Not just for me but for this world of sin and despair. He could have started all over again and who would have argued? Adam and Eve? The devil, himself? The angels? The heavens? No, not even amongst the One True Godhead! He is so just and loves us so much that He has given us chance after chance to repent and ask for forgiveness. I have decided to make forgiveness the focal point of my ministry! I want to forgive and I want to be forgiven. I want to see mankind in heaven! This is a tall order! But my prayer is that I would see the God miracles in this San Francisco/Monterey Bay Area! I have no rhyme nor reason why God called me to do what I do, but I must walk worthy of that calling! So I invite the Holy Spirit, again, to walk by my side and keep me from being ignorant about God’s will!
I saw the movie “Coal Miners daughters” today. One line stuck in my spirit: I may be ignorant but I am not stupid (This is a paraphrase so I do not use the word that segregates a certain community of people). I laughed at this!
Then I saw this in my spirit: I do not want to be ignorant of God nor do I want to be stupid in my ways serving Him!

Trembling In The Presense of Mercy
“Mercy!” That is what I heard when I spoke in a church a long time ago!, Mercy! There it was again. This saintly personality sitting about four rows back on my left would say it every now and then. I noticed when most people would agree by stating ‘Amen’, she would say, ‘Mercy!’
I am reflecting on this for the purpose of making the point of how important God’s mercy is to all of us. As this word was being stated, I realized that the compassion and forbearance shown by God toward men is absolutely awesome. Mercy speaks to the issue of Propitiation (the Atoning sacrifice) that Christ did for us on Calvary! Mercy reminds us of the love God has for this world. Mercy points directly to the blood poured out that great day! So now that we have that fact down, let’s look at this: The mercy we show one another! Oops! I knew that would raise an eyebrow or two! You see we want mercy, but do we really want to show mercy that same way: On the grounds of it’s real meaning not on the grounds of a self indulged definition! Showing mercy to another is really this: showing high favor or compassion to someone. You know, to someone that you really would like to not show mercy too! It is really easy to show mercy to someone that is narly in your sight, but that does not take much “spiritual” gumption! Be really spiritual and kick the old man out of your life and let God do His thing through you! Lastly, mercy endures forever!
” Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1, NKJV)
That’s right! Each day His mercies a fresh and new. Each day we can show mercy to someone who has offended us or who is in need! Don’t ever try to fool yourself! The world needs and desires mercy! This world needs you and God desires you to show mercy!
I am glad that saintly personality did not take the common ground! Agreeing with everything. No way, mercy is what should be shown not just being agreeable.

It Is Beginning To Rain
Let me begin by writing this…I am tired! I have been designing web sites, building blogs, searching for blog templates (that are above average), purchasing domains names, setting up a Ubuntu Linux machine, setting up a new network and researching new software. Wow, as I write this I realize, I am very busy. Staying up till 4:30 A.M. every day and getting a just few hours sleep. To tell you, I love it!
It is the weekend now, Friday night, and I am still at it. It’s beginning to rain here in Santa Cruz and do we need it!
I spent this evening with a pastor friend at his churches camp out in the Santa Cruz mountains. We discussed the goodness of God and His unfailing mercy. What I feel summed up the whole evening (before this “techie” stuff I am doing) was that we need to stop praying for God to move. Why? Because He is already moving we need to move with Him. Where is he moving? Look around you! He may be moving right outside your door! My brother, friend, co-laborer, Steve Wright of 2XSalt Ministries and pastor of The Salt Mine Church can confirm this. He walk out of meeting and there a person, a creation of God, a homeless man, just waiting for someone to notice that God was moving. Pastor Steve invited him to pray for the entrance of the Holy Spirit into this man’s life. God was moving right outside the door of the meeting. Come on now, where is He moving around you? Take a look!
It is raining, but I believe this is a beginning of spiritual rain over you and your city. I write this as a prophetic word into your spirit-man and ministry.
Peace
Dennis
